Our Introduction

Zumar Foundation is a non-profit, Humanitarian and Development Organization operating in Uganda. Its core focus areas include Humanitarian relief, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Education, Health, Peacebuilding and Reconciliation, Economic Growth and social well-being and Climate change.

By aligning its activities with the United Nations Development Goals and Uganda’s vision for socioeconomic development, the foundation contributes to broader global and national development agendas. With a strong grassroots presence and regional expansion, the Zumar Foundation promotes sustainable development, social transformation, and resilience in the face of humanitarian and climatic challenges.

Our main office is in Kampala, and we have field operation offices spread across various regions of Uganda. Furthermore, we have recently expanded our presence regionally, with offices now established in Somalia.

Organizational Structure

Zumar Foundation is fully compliant with local laws and regulations and holds official licensing from the NGO Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uganda. This commitment to responsible and transparent governance is in line with Uganda’s Vision 2040 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The foundation has a well-defined organizational framework that ensures clear roles and responsibilities.
At the top of the hierarchy is the Board of Trustees (BOT), providing pivotal leadership. The Executive Committee, guided by the Executive Director, plays a crucial role in operational oversight and decision-making.
